Medical imaging equipment made by other manufacturers can now be serviced by the worldwide service organization of the Health Imaging Group of Eastman Kodak (Rochester, MN, USA).

The new service, called Kodak Medical Imaging Equipment Services, includes preventive maintenance, quality assurance and control, compliance testing, corrective maintenance, and around-the-clock call-center support. The Health Imaging Group will begin contracting with customers to service a wide range of imaging modalities, including computed tomography (CT), film digitizers, laser imagers, and x-ray equipment. Optional services include asset management and utilization, image quality optimization, and professional services such as network and integration services, project management, and applications training.

"Single-source maintenance management contracts from Kodak help fulfill this objective by offering fast, high-quality maintenance and asset management services from one of the most effective service organizations in the world,” said Zamin Alikhan, worldwide business manager, equipment services, for Kodak.
