FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA (Stamford, CT, USA), a leading provider of diagnostic imaging products and medical informatics solutions, has announced the completion of its acquisition of TeraMedica (Milwaukee, WI, USA), a leading global provider of vendor neutral, enterprise solutions.

TeraMedica received the 2015 award for Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA)/Image Archive KLAS Category Leader in the Best in KLAS Report. The VNA enables image content sharing across hospital departments from disparate healthcare IT applications using the latest centralized archiving technologies. VNA technology helps healthcare enterprises achieve fully integrated patient-centric healthcare across multiple healthcare applications, IT systems, and providers.

Jim Prekop, President and CEO, FUJIFILM TeraMedica, Inc., said “The VNA market is expected to see significant growth in the coming years, and now with the combined strength of FUJIFILM Medical Systems, we have the ability to meet this demand. This transaction will bring together the complementary strengths of Fujifilm’s best-in-class software and services with TeraMedica’s pioneering VNA, maximizing our operational efficiencies.
