Block Imaging International, Inc. (Lansing, MI, USA) has formed a strategic partnership with Dicom Solutions, Inc. (Irvine, CA, USA) and will now carry a new line of medical imaging digital solutions.

Block Imaging, a worldwide provider of used and refurbished medical imaging equipment, will provide its customers with picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), radiology information systems (RIS), Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) to CD, computed radiography (CR), and archive solutions from Dicom Solutions. Dicom Solutions, a leading distributor and systems integrator for the medical imaging industry, will in turn offer its customers Block Imaging's inventory of refurbished and preowned medical imaging equipment, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and digital radiology (DR) systems.

"We are proud to join forces with such a successful and highly regarded company as Block Imaging,” said Chad Hutchison, president and CEO of Dicom Solutions. "Partnering with Block Imaging will help strengthen our position as a low-cost, one-stop provider of turnkey solutions for imaging centers, hospitals, and physicians.”

Dicom Solutions is a distributor and systems integrator of medical imaging equipment. It has completed installations at more than 550 imaging centers and hospitals. The company sells most of its solutions for one-third of what the competition charges for PACS, archive, teleradiology, DICOM to CD, CR, DICOM converters and PACS accessories.

Block Imaging provides all modalities of preowned and refurbished medical imaging equipment worldwide. Block Imaging now offers new equipment from select original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and a complete solutions program that includes purchasing and selling of all imaging modalities from all manufacturers, refurbishment, financing, interim rentals, logistical services, and parts.
