The China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF), held in Chengdu (China) in November 2005, hosted more than 1,770 exhibitors and attracted more than 47,000 professional visitors from 23 countries worldwide during the five days of the fair.

CMEF is the most important exhibition for the medical device manufacturing industry in China. Exhibitors included many international leading device manufacturers, who received valuable sales leads from visitors sourcing for products. Many companies received letters-of-intent-to-purchase. CMEF is also a learning center for the professional medical community. Conference sessions and an action-packed program attracted many visitors, and more than 300 people attended the popular 2005 International Clinical Testing and Diagnostic Forum.

The organizers are already preparing for the next fair, to be held in Shenzhen in April 2006. That fair will also include the International Component Manufacturing and Design Show for component suppliers and device manufacturers.

"As a very important platform for medical device manufacturers, CMEF focuses its efforts to support the medical equipment and device industry in Asia by bringing the latest and best technology from worldwide manufacturers and the Middle East,” noted Song Wei, show manager of CMEF.
