Gamma Medica (Northridge, CA, USA), a manufacturer of clinical and preclinical imaging devices, recently received two international quality management system certifications. The company received both the ISO9001:2000 and ISO13485:2003 international certifications of quality management systems. These certifications cover the design, manufacturing, sales, and marketing of Gamma Medica's X-SPECT preclinical imaging system, LumaGem breast imaging system, and GammaCAM/OR surgical imaging system.

"Because this market is at such an early stage of development, it is critically important that current and future customers of our devices have confidence in our manufacturing systems. These highly selective certifications, which can only be earned after a rigorous review by a certified ISO registrar, will give our current and future customers that confidence,” stated Patrick Moody, vice president of marketing for Gamma Medica.
