Strategic Collaboration Agreement for the Deployment of Radiology Services

Posted on 23 Dec 2015
Two leading US radiology leaders have entered into a multi-year strategic relationship to deploy innovative models of delivering radiology services for outpatients using cloud based technology.

Under the agreement the radiology services and technology provider will employ and integrate existing radiologist capacity onto its cloud-based platform, for some of the largest hospital systems in the US. This will enable the company to optimize radiologists’ capacity, reduce turnaround times, and target specializations.

RadNet (Los Angeles; CA, USA), the radiology service and technology provider, will share expertise in risk management, billing and collecting, marketing and payer contracting with Imaging Advantage (Santa Monica, CA, USA), a leader in outpatient imaging. The collaboration is intended to bring new revenue opportunities for Imaging Advantage and their hospital partners, and creates a broad scale and breadth of capabilities, combining outpatient imaging and radiology professional services.

Dr. Howard Berger, president and CEO of RadNet, said, "Professional radiology services are critical to RadNet's service offerings. As we encounter more opportunities to provide our services on a larger scale and participate in leading-edge risk management models, we are pleased to be working with Imaging Advantage and its highly innovative cloud platform and business strategy. Equally important, I believe Imaging Advantage is a resourceful and capable partner to employ our doctors and incorporate them into a new model of delivery. Imaging Advantage can enhance the professional satisfaction of our affiliated radiologists, while simultaneously reducing our cost of delivering high quality and efficient radiology services to our imaging facilities and joint venture partners."
