A medical imaging equipment vendor has unveiled a new workstation with a 54.61 cm true flat screen designed for operating rooms, clinical stations, and Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS).

The workstation meets the required certification standards, and complies with FCC-B and CE regulations for medical environments. More...
The front touch panel of the workstation is IP65-rated and can be easily cleaned with anti-bacterial cleaning agents. The workstation weighs 6.8 kg, and is designed for reduced glare, boasts a wide viewing angle, and standard VESA 75/100 hole pattern for mounting on a wall or desk stand.

The multifunctional M2150 expert medical workstation is the latest in a line of workstations from Arbor Solution North America (San Jose, CA; USA), and is available with a choice of different microprocessors. The M2150 provides good visual performance, and can be used for graphics-intense applications on PACS, in operating rooms, and clinical stations.

Brian Yurkiw, Arbor Solution vice president, said, "Featuring a large, easy-to-view LCD display, high performance, and outstanding graphics capabilities, our new multifunction M2150 workstation is a welcomed addition to any medical environment. Its 10-point capacitive multi-touch interface allows for effortless operation via tapping, panning, flicking, and zooming. Seven configurable function keys on the front panel provide quick access to primary and frequently used functions. Its ease of use allows medical professionals to fully concentrate on a patient's well-being without worrying about operating a computer."
