Web-Based Vendor-Neutral PACS Offers Diagnostic Viewing Through Zero-Footprint HTML5

A web-based picture archiving and communication system (PACS) provides fast diagnostic viewing of medical images using zero-footprint HTML5, anywhere, and at any time.

ClearCanvas’ (Toronto, Canada) new vendor-neutral PACS, Cleome, has just been added to its range of products. Cleome combines the vendor-neutral Cleome ImageServer for image archiving, retrieval and distribution with the integrated, fast and easy to use, Cleome Webstation DX, and Cleome Webstation for referring physicians.

Cleome can be integrated into the user’s current information technology (IT) architecture to accelerate service with a next-generation imaging platform with the goal to improve effectiveness and quality of patient care. With open source roots, the extensible and open architecture Cleome ImageServer works with any hardware and all modality manufacturers, creating a truly vendor-neutral environment. Cleome is easily scalable from a single user to an enterprise wide deployment.

The zero footprint Cleome Webstation DX is platform-independent, enabling users the flexibility of viewing diagnostic images from a Mac or personal computer (PC) and through the browser of choice including Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. The simplicity of single sign-on gives the user their customized toolsets independent of where they are accessing the images. Powered with a proprietary web engine, the intuitive fully featured viewer is easy to learn and delivers images to review cases efficiently.
