A new mobile X-ray platform integrates securely into the hospital’s information technology (IT) environment, providing anytime access to all relevant data.

The Siemens Healthineers (Erlangen, Germany) Mobilett Elara Max system facilitates easy patient access, smooth maneuverability, and flexible positioning of the X-ray arm through 180-degree lateral arm movement, providing consistently high image quality and diagnostic confidence directly at the bedside. As a member of the Max product family, the Mobilett Elara Max also benefits from a technology platform that permits standardization of workflows across a range of diverse examinations, with an identical user interface that shortens the training period, reduce errors, and increase efficiency.

A comprehensive security package helps withstand digital threats in a variety of settings by providing seamless, secure integration into the hospital’s existing IT infrastructure. In addition, virtual workstation technology enables installation of additional hospital software in order to permit access to information directly at the patient’s bedside, without impacting system safety. System cleaning has also been simplified through an innovative design of closed surfaces, reduced gap dimensions, and fully integrated cables.

“When we developed the Mobilett Elara Max, patient safety was of primary importance to us. And because protecting patient data is also becoming more important, we equipped the system with comprehensive IT security technology,” said Carsten Bertram, head of X-Ray products at Siemens Healthineers. “Through the common use of detectors for different platform systems, customers can achieve considerable savings using systems with the MAX Effect.”
