The new VIVIX-S N detectors in 10 × 12 and 17 × 17 inch formats were designed to improve usability in the X-ray environment. The detectors introduced by Vieworks (Anyang, Korea) feature AED (Automatic Exposure Detection), which provides more stable operations and functional sensitivity, and stainless steel frame, which increases durability.

An Inside AP (access point) enables users to directly connect to the detector via Wi-Fi with laptops, tablets, and smart phones. In case of an outage, X-ray Images are saved to prevent loss of clinical data. Control and usability of the AP function is further improved with a simple on/off switch.

To enhance the durability and usability of detectors, stainless steel frame construction is used. Stainless steel frame provides protection from damage from sides and guards the corners of the detectors. Furthermore, it uses common external slim batteries that are compatible for the products of the series, which can be easily replaced through battery slots. Moreover, the new wireless portable detectors provide a touch GUI image viewer program, which can be operated using tablets on Microsoft Windows.

“The new N-series detectors are introduced to improve usability of the properties of wireless portable detectors, along with offering higher image quality,” said Hooshik Kim, president of Vieworks. “We have achieved reduction of diagnosis time to enhance efficiency in progress. Most notably, this new N-Series successfully reduced image acquisition time and initialization time. With these new wireless portable detectors, X-ray systems can be used with more convenience.”
