Varex Imaging Corporation (Salt Lake City, UT, USA) is showcasing digital image acquisition solutions from the Nexus product line at RSNA 2023. In addition, the company experts will be presenting the science and benefits of their photon-counting X-ray technology, and discussing how their solutions are making the invisible visible in radiology.

At RSNA 2023, Varex is showcasing Nexus DR, an advanced digital image acquisition system designed to automate patient workflow. It is a cost-effective solution that includes advanced image processing algorithms for optimal image quality and reliability. Designed to provide fast and accurate diagnostic images with minimal user interaction, Nexus DR is an efficient solution for all digital radiography needs. Optimized workflow with this product allows X-ray technologists to focus on the patient while seamlessly capturing images. Varex is also highlighting its photon-counting detector lineup, including the DC-Vela photon-counting X-ray detector designed specifically for panoramic dental imaging and the DC-Thor series of photon-counting detectors designed for applications that require X-ray detectors that are robust and radiation-hard. Also being highlighted at the show is the DC-TDI series of detectors that allow for both single and dual-energy photon counting detection and the DC-TDIX photon counting detector series engineered for ultra-fast, high-sensitivity imaging in an industrial environment.

Visitors to the Varex Imaging booth no. 2154 at RSNA 2023 can experience radiological software solutions from MeVis Medical Solutions that can simplify the daily routine of radiologists and improve patient care towards a future-proof radiology. These include the Veolity LungCAD1 machine learning-based lung nodule detection software which provides fully integrated AI-enabled detection support for pulmonary nodules for chest CT scans in lung cancer diagnostics to improve diagnostic quality. It makes complex follow-up comparisons easy and efficient. Valuable automatic segmentation with volumetric quantification of lung nodules helps radiologists to generate reproducible and comparable results that easily integrate into existing IT infrastructure and reading workflow. Also being presented at the show is the Veolity LungRead2 all-in-one chest CT reading solution. Veolity LungRead is an advanced software package supporting lung cancer diagnostics for efficient and effective reading of chest CT scans. Radiologists can benefit from an AI-based CAD for better nodule detection, volumetric nodule quantification, automatic growth assessment, guideline-compliant reporting (e.g. Lung-RADS, BTS, BC Lung, etc.), and an automated workflow that saves reading time compared to a PACS viewer.
