OR Technology (Rostock, Germany), a provider of digital X-ray solutions and image management systems, has launched the second generation of its portable X-ray case Leonardo DR mini. Weighing just 8.9 kg, the Leonardo DR mini II is one of the world's lightest portable X-ray case systems and even beats its predecessor in terms of weight.

OR Technology offers in-house solutions for hospitals, radiology and private practices, globally. Its portfolio includes DR retrofits for existing X-ray systems (X-ray imaging without cassettes), CR systems (X-ray imaging with cassettes), and mobile DR detector suitcase solutions for outdoor use (e.g. on ships and oil rigs, in remote locations or disaster management).

The Leonardo DR mini II portable X-ray is a quick, ready-to-go and easy-to-use practical suitcase solution. All the components are integrated in an attractively designed mobile X-ray case made of high-quality plastic that can be easily cleaned with water and fits behind every car seat. The case holds a 17-inch laptop equipped with the dicomPACS DX-R acquisition and diagnostic software, and can be easily removed for use as a tablet for presentation purposes. The well-planned space concept allows the wireless CsI X-ray detector that guarantees best image quality even at low X-ray doses to be transported inside the case.

The Leonardo DR mini II is ideal for users in outpatient digital radiology in the areas of human medicine such as home care, disaster control, and emergency medicine on ships, yachts and oil plat-forms as well as in medical services.
