An industry-leading provider of cancer detection, radiation therapy, and workflow solutions, has announced that the company's mammography CAD solution is now available on a new advanced Full Field Digital Mammography (FFDM) system.

The scalable digital mammography CAD platform includes a CAD algorithm for early detection of breast cancer, a multi-vendor CAD server, enhanced CAD metrics for clinical insight, and improved workflow. The integrated solution provides a clinical decision support tool to enable radiologists to improve care for mammography patients.

The CAD solution is iCAD's (Nashua, NH, USA) PowerLook Advanced Mammography Platform, and is now available on FUJIFILM Medical Systems' (Stamford, CT, USA) Aspire Cristalle FFDM system. The Aspire Cristalle features Hexagonal Close Pattern (HCP) image capture technology, intelligent image processing, contrast optimization, low radiation dose, and rapid acquisition time.

Fujifilm provides digital X-Ray systems, Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), women’s health imaging equipment, and cardiovascular products. The PowerLook platform is now available for Fujifilm’s Aspire Cristalle customers worldwide.

Rob Fabrizio, director of marketing and product development, FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA, said, “Fujifilm is happy to have reached this important milestone with iCAD, moving our customers another important step forward with the ability to simplify the reading of digital mammography exams. We trust our customers will be pleased with this coupling of the most requested CAD platform with the exceptional imaging capabilities of our Aspire Cristalle mammography system.”
