Digital Radiography Lets Facilities Go Digital Faster

New digital imaging systems provide a complete digital radiography solution by combining a cassetteless upright receptor with a cassette-based system that is cost-effective, easy-to-use, and effective.

"A conservative spending atmosphere in healthcare combined with lower reimbursement rates are leading many facilities to seek digital solutions that offer high value through optimizing workflow efficiency and capital expense,” said Darren Werner, marketing manager for digital products at Konica Minolta Medical Imaging (Wayne, NJ, USA). "The Regius digital imaging suite [RDIS] offers highly effective workflow at an affordable price to the end user. This solution will allow more facilities to go digital earlier than they could have using traditional DR [digital radiography] offerings in the market.”

At the core of the RDIS is the Regius 370 DR, an upright digital radiography system that supports a wide range of clinical applications. In addition to the Regius 370, the Regius Digital Imaging Suite also includes the Nano CR (computed radiography) single plate system, an X-ray generator, elevating float-top table, and a Single Imaging Control Station for both the Regius 370 and Nano CR that simplifies user operation and learning curve.

The use of a single Control Station on the RDIS system optimizes image quality for all applications and reduces the number of steps to improve productivity. Unique to the Regius 370 is it is highly advanced cesium bromide- (CsBr)-structured phosphor receptor, which produces a high level of detective quantum efficiency (DQE); a new antiscatter technology, which aids in image quality; and Konica Minolta's image processing algorithms.

Combining a high volume cassetteless upright with the award winning Nano cassette-based CR system allows Konica Minolta to uniquely offer this digital radiography system, providing the best of all digital technologies into one optimized solution.

Konica Minolta Medical Imaging is a leading manufacturer/distributor of digital and traditional imaging products for diagnostic use by hospitals, imaging centers, clinics, and private practice physicians. Leading products include the Regius family of digital radiography systems, the Drypro family of laser imagers, medical, laser, and specialty films and film-processing equipment.
