A web-based referral management and insurance authorization STAT service for radiology practices has been developed to provide preauthorized referrals in 30 minutes or less.

This 30-minute turnaround time significantly benefits radiology practices and patients, as imaging centers often receive high volumes of walk-in patients, same-day add-on procedures, and last-minute radiology protocol changes. “Not only is Clarity Health’s turnaround time lightning fast, the accuracy and quality of the insurance authorizations delivered are outstanding,” said David Winokur, MPA, director of medical imaging at Overlake Hospital Medical Center (Bellevue, WA, USA). “By utilizing Clarity’s STAT service, our imaging center can better accommodate last-minute patients, all while saving staff time and reducing write-offs. It's a win-win.”

Clarity Health’s (Seattle, WA, USA) solution uniquely combines technology and servicing to effectively handle the hurdles medical practices face with referrals today. “Clarity’s standard turnaround time is four hours or less, a remarkable feat compared to the average practice turnaround time typically measured in days not hours,” stated Bill Bunker, CEO of Clarity Health. “By expanding our capabilities to offer radiologists a STAT service of 30 minutes or less, we continue to commit ourselves to providing the most efficient, cost-effective referral solution on the market.”
