Mach 7 Technologies (Schaumberg, IL, USA), a global provider of flexible, picture archiving and communications system (PACS)-neutral healthcare image management solutions, has formalized a product distribution agreement with Data Distributing (Santa Cruz, CA, USA), an international provider of digital image distribution and archiving solutions to the medical industry. Under the terms of the agreement, Data Distributing will market Mach 7 Technologies' Keystone Suite, an enterprise image-management platform, in the United States.

The agreement provides Mach 7 Technologies with expanded distribution of its flagship software product, while enabling Data Distributing to enter the fast growing PACS-neutral technology market with an innovative product solution. With Keystone Suite, Data Distributing gains a proven product to design and implement solutions for PACS-neutral archiving, intelligent image navigation, Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) attribute normalization, open electronic medical record (EMR) image enablement, and monitoring of the enterprise image continuum.

As an enterprise image-management platform, Keystone Suite is designed to enhance existing PACS investments by enabling improved movement and storage of image data using PACS-friendly/PACS-neutral software solutions. Because they free healthcare enterprises from the restrictions of vendor-specific architectures, PACS-neutral solutions can lower switching and replacement costs, and enable users to create a cost-effective, common clinical image viewing solution in heterogeneous, multiple medical PACS environments.

"Data Distributing brings a strong image storage and DICOM domain focus along with complementary hardware and software solutions from industry-leading storage vendors,” noted Doug Schwab, VP and GM of Mach 7 Technologies. "We look forward to working together to introduce our PACS-neutral solutions to the Data Distributing customer base, while expanding our collective reach to create new opportunities for growth in the healthcare market.”

"The addition of Keystone Suite to our product family immediately strengthens our DICOM image archiving and storage management solution offerings,” said Nancy Fisher, president and CEO of Data Distributing. "With Keystone Suite, data distributing can now offer a complete end-to-end solution for PACS-neutral archiving, from image acquisition to technology-neutral storage.”

Data Distributing develops digital DICOM solutions and provides the integration and professional services to a growing number of facilities, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and channel partners worldwide. Data Distributing creates solutions that are used by hundreds of leading medical and imaging centers.

Mach 7 Technologies is a global provider of flexible, PACS-neutral image management solutions that enable healthcare enterprises to better control, share, and access medical imaging data. Mach 7 Technologies develops software products that solve complex image management challenges for hundreds of hospitals, imaging centers, and clinics worldwide.
