Automated Prior Authorization Software for Imaging Centers Launched at RBMA 2015

A major supplier of healthcare financial process automation has announced the launch of a novel automated prior authorization system, which can save imaging centers costs and time.

The software was launched at the Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA; Las Vegas, NV, USA) Radiology summit in June, 2015.

The AuthPal software made by FORE Support Services (El Paso, TX, USA) reduces the time to process a radiology prior authorization from days to hours or minutes, saving time and costs.

The technology is secured using a US Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant cloud platform with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and AES 256 bit encryption. The AuthPal software checks if a prior authorization is needed, and obtains the latest status and all necessary data.

FORE Support Services president and CEO Mohammed M. Ahmed, said, “AuthPal represents breakthrough technology specifically developed to address the costs and headaches associated with prior authorizations. We’ve automated the entire process, eliminating costly denials and reducing labor costs, which will change the way imaging centers and radiology practices handle prior authorizations.”
