Web-Based Zero-Footprint PACS Approved

A web-based Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) eliminates the need for radiology departments to receive and transmit large datasets such as those from digital mammography, 1,000-slice Computed Tomography (CT), and other modalities.

The PACS uses server-side rendering to bypass prefetching and auto-routing delays, can significantly reduce the load on a hospital network, and bring down the cost of network infrastructure. The PACS can open large studies instantaneously giving clinicians access to images with full diagnostic quality viewing, and advanced utility. The PACS can be used on any internet browser.

The Exa PACS was developed by Viztek (Garner, NC, USA), a digital radiology and healthcare IT vendor and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in February 2015.

The Exa PACS works with the Exa Electronic Health Record (EHR), which includes radiology workflow process components such as practice management, billing, order entry, radiology reports, and patient portals.
