A new version of a cloud-based Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Electronic Medical Record (EMR) solution was unveiled at Arab Health 2015 (Dubai, UAE).

The PACS uses streaming technology and includes reporting and distribution, archiving, image diagnosis, data manipulation, advanced visualization, 3-D reconstruction, reporting and dictation, Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) and A4 printing, and home viewing. The PACS can be used on various platforms including desktop computers and mobile devices, and is independent of the type of Internet browser, or operating system installed. The PACS can be used in a multisite enterprise, and for teleradiology or telemedicine applications.

The multi-lingual web-based EHR/EMR software connects to the Hospital Information System (HIS) and PACS and handles enterprise workflow and productivity. The software which also can be used on desktop computers and mobile devices also handles patient scheduling, billing, prescriptions, reporting, exam procedures and results, accounting and material management, back-office financial management, supply chain management, and management of human resources.

The Vision Tools Workspace PACS and MiClinic EHR/EMR software are produced by MillenSys (Nasr City, Cairo Governorate, Egypt).
