RamSoft (Toronto, ON, Canada), a developer of picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), radiology information systems (RIS), and teleradiology workflow systems, is increasing their customer base in the Asia-Pacific region by offering web-based, customizable radiology workflow systems that provide ease of use, localization, and process automation.

Localization allows end-users to personalize their experience by language as well as to country-specific medical system requirements. RamSoft has recently installed their technology in this region, including PowerServer RIS/PACS, PowerServer PACS, and PowerServer XU in hospitals, imaging centers, and government facilities in Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia, and Thailand.

According to Marilyn Solano, sales and marketing director for RamSoft, the facilities are experiencing overall success in terms of workflow efficiency and patient care. For example, the facilities in Thailand were able to convert from a film-based workflow to a digital workflow, which instantly generated more detailed images for better diagnoses and faster turnaround time for diagnostic reports. Furthermore, the digital workflow has enhanced patient intakes and reduced errors. Four hospitals in Brunei have experienced success in integrating PowerServer XU with their existing electronic health record (EHR) to manage their radiology workflow. The combination provides them with an efficient workflow and improved turnaround times, as well.

“Our overall goal is to continue improving patient care around the globe with the latest advancements in imaging informatics,” said Ms. Solano. “Our systems are affordable, easy to use and easily adopted in to any workflow.”

RamSoft’s PowerServer PACS, RIS/PACS, and teleradiology solutions are customizable web-based workflow management programs for all types of radiology facilities. They have the flexibility to be localized for each country’s specific requirements and can also be translated to the local language without custom programming. They support all modalities and provide the performance, and security radiology practices require. RamSoft’s range of web-based RIS, PACS, and teleradiology products are constructed on a single database platform, which helps lessen information technology (IT) difficulties while fast-tracking productivity and improving patient care. PowerServer’s ease of use and flexibility results in modifying one’s own workflow without having to contact service each time.
